The Roo Boys Basketball Team started off the year with a win over Old High Saturday morning 48-24. The Roos Defense is the story in this one, swarming the Coyotes all day long. The Roos had a lead early and never gave it up. The Coyotes cut the lead to 12 in the third quarter but after a timeout by Coach Jon Wagner the Roos quickly added to that lead. Brayden Carter led the team with 15 points. Ameer Adel had 11 and hit three threes. Freshman Kane Chandler chipped in 8 in his high school debut.

The Roos play at Northwest Eaton on Tuesday.

The JV Roos were led by Caden Whatley who had 14 points and Dominic Lowe had 10. Maddox Stankavage had nine and Hudson Taylor and Darian Gayfield both had six points.
