The JV football team finished the season on a high note by beating the Chisholm Trail Rangers by the score of 20-0. The story on the night was the Kangaroo defense which pitched another shut out, giving them six total shut outs on the 2020 season. The Kangaroos junior varsity team finished up the season with a 7-3 record.

The offense was led as always by the passing of Colton Burch and the running of Tanner Mullins. The Roos also had a strong effort on the ground from Gabe Astello and Jeremy Gaither. The leading receiver for the JV squad was Andrew Fabela, Isaiah King, and Matthew Murley. The offensive line mowed down defenders all night and were led by Karson Daniels, Sebastian Roderick, Thomas Tettleton, Gavin Lopez, and Dylan Robert.
The defense had big plays from Jacob Wallace, Brylee Blevins, and Clayton Reep. Barrett Smith, Tanner Mullins, Jeramiah Wilton, and Adrian Lara all were swarming the Ranger ball carriers.


FRESHMAN END SEASON IN DOMINATE FASHION

The Freshman Football team rounded out there season in Chisholm Trail in dominating fashion. The Roos scored quickly and often as they won the game 55-6. The scoring started with the first play of game as CJ Thornton found Xavier Holder for a 19 yard TD pass. The defense got in on the action as they answered the offensive score with a couple sacks and blocked punt for a safety. Leading 8-0 the Roos went on a strong scoring drive by running the ball behind a dominate offensive line and running backs Joseph Polk and Manny Hernandez as Polk capped off the drive with a 4 yard plunge. Polk wasn’t done scoring as he took the next drive into the endzone after a 17 yard TD run. The Roos again crushed the Rangers offense intercepting them and causing fumble after fumble. The Roos would again score before halftime as Manny Hernandez scored on a run from 3 yards out. Taking a commanding 35 – 0 lead into halftime the Roos would come out and score in 5 plays capped off by a Thornton to Holder TD from 15 yards out. Samuel Roderick would also get into the scoring action as he made 2 field goals one from 25 yards out and also a bomb from 48 yards out as he scraped the cross bar. The scoring would be finished off on the night after a 16 yard run by Jackson Thompson. The Roos were led offensively by a dominating performance of the Offensive line as they led the way for a 280 yard rushing night and two 100 yard rushers along with 4 TD’s. Wyatt Reeves had a breakout game as well as he finished the game with 3 catches and 1 rush for a total of 75 yards and also 1 interception on Defense.
