The Kangaroo Baseball team traveled to Haltom Friday night and came out on top 2-0. It was great pitching and defense, along with some timely hitting that helped the Roos prevail. Landon Ellington pitched a complete game shutout allowing just 2 hits and struck out 9 Buffalo hitters to pick up the win. In the top of the 5th Trace Holcomb led off with a double and one out later Dawson Nelson singled in the first run of the game. Kaden Kerbow then doubled down the left field line to score Nelson to make it 2-0 to end the scoring for the game. Nelson had two hits, one RBI, and 1 run scored. Kerbow had an RBI and Ryan Whisenhunt scored run. Kannon Kemp also had a hit for the Roos. The win makes the Roos 15-5 overall and 3-1 in district. Weatherford will take on the undefeated Paschal Panthers(3-0) at Paschal on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
