The Varsity Boys Soccer Team competed in the Brewer Cave Classic this weekend. On Friday The Roos fought back from deficits twice to get a tie. We were down 2-0 vs. Brewer in the First game when Ethan Mauldin connected on the first goal followed by a late goal by Sammy Delgado. The afternoon game was even more exciting. Down 2-1 in the second half the roos tied it up with a big goal from outside the box by Ethan Mauldin. In the final 5 minutes The Roos hit the crossbar and had a goal cleared off the line . Then with 13 seconds remaining Tyler Partain netted his first goal of the season for the 3-3 tie against Burleson Centenial. On Saturday the Roos played Ft. Worth IL on the frozen Tundra. The Roos had plenty of opportunities to capitalize in the first half with the wind at their back, but only came away with a shot from outside the penalty box by Ethan Mauldin. In The second half the Roos sealed the 2-1 victory on a cross by Matias Villalobos for a one touch goal by Sammy Delgado. The Roos finished the tournament with a Second Place finish. Way to Go Roos! The Roos take on Stephenville tonight and Arlington on Friday to finish up Non- District. Both games are away.
