This week in Roo Tennis saw the both teams traveling to Chisholm Trail for the Ranger Invitational. The JV got started on Tuesday with a couple of 3rd place finishes. And others that just missed out on some medals. Natalie Frizzell and Denisse Flores finished the Girls Doubles with a 3rd place finish and Mylee Herron finished with a 3rd place medal of her own. Kaedon Peacock and Maiah Gal just missed out on a medal as they lost in a tight 3 set tie breaker finishing 4th in the Mixed Doubles. Madison Ramirez finished just out of her own medal losing in the Consolation Semi-finals.

The Varsity took to the Court on Friday and had really strong showings as they brought home several medals of their own.

The Team of Austin Markwardt and Cam McClelland won the boys doubles Championship

Shelbi Ruthesell and Emma Melvin took home gold in the Girls Doubles portion of the day

Averi Breedlove and Perla Suazo brought home the gold in the Girls Doubles Consolation Bracket

Hailey Toten and Trevor Craft competed well but just came up a bit short in their 3rd place match

Dayla DromGoole fought in a hard match coming up just shy of a 3rd place medal.

We are so proud of our Kiddos and love the work they are putting in. We look forward to next week where the JV will play a split schedule and attend meets in Midlothian and Alvarado and the Varsity will travel to Midlothian Heritage to compete in what is expected to be a very talented field.
