The Kangaroo Baseball team took on the Haltom Buffalos Friday on Teacher Appreciation Night in a district 3-6A matchup. The Roos came away with a 9-3 victory on the strength of two Dayton Tockey Home Runs. Tockey drove in 5 runs with 2 swings of the bat. Trace Holcomb and Omar Juarez each had 2 hits and drove in runs for Weatherford. Trent Rogers, Kannon Kemp, Ty Sansom, and Jake Williams also had hits. Williams also scored 3 runs and stole 2 bases. Kannon Kemp picked up the win on the mound pitching 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 3. Grady Moore came on to pitch the final 2 innings picking up his 2nd save of the week allowing no runs on 2 hits while striking out 4.
