The Lady Roo softball team improved to 13-7 overall and 5-1 in district play with an 11-1 5 inning run rule victory over L.D. Bell Friday night. Lauren Belles picked up the win by scattering 3 hits over 5 innings, allowing only 1 earned run while striking out 9. Hannah Reed led the Lady Roos offense with 3 hits including a double and a triple. Olivia Cantu, Hanna Bartels, Landry Fonseca, and Kayleigh Cassels all contributed 2 hits each, and Morgan Skold and Grace Thompson also had hits in the contest. The Lady Roos will complete the first half of district play next Tuesday at Haltom.
