Weatherford Kangaroos got out to a five-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for a 6-4 victory over Timber Creek Varsity Falcons on Friday. Timber Creek Varsity Falcons scored three runs in the failed comeback on a double by Zeke Seoane and a single by Leighton Jones.

An early lead helped propel Weatherford Kangaroos to victory. Weatherford Kangaroos scored on an error, a double by Carter Norris, and a triple by JT Cienega in the second inning.

Weatherford Kangaroos pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored one run for Weatherford Kangaroos, Norris doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and Cienega tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Roy Moon led things off on the mound for Weatherford Kangaroos. The righthander surrendered four runs on five hits over six and a third innings, striking out four and walking one.

Zach Frye toed the rubber for Timber Creek Varsity Falcons. The pitcher surrendered five runs on four hits over five innings, striking out four. Harrison Hankins threw one inning in relief.

Weatherford Kangaroos racked up five hits in the game. Norris and Colton McClure each had multiple hits for Weatherford Kangaroos. McClure and Norris all had two hits to lead Weatherford Kangaroos.

Brady Aduddell went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Timber Creek Varsity Falcons in hits.
