Roo Ball Defeated Midland this weekend in two games. Weatherford will now face Keller in the third round of the playoffs next weekend.





Game One

An early lead helped Weatherford Kangaroos defeat Midland High Varsity 5-3 on Friday. Weatherford Kangaroos scored on a single by Wyatt Perdue in the first inning, a single by Joel Gonzales in the first inning, a double by Rhys Vindiola in the second inning, and a double by Omar Juarez in the second inning.

In the bottom of the first inning, Weatherford Kangaroos tied things up at two when Gonzales singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Weatherford Kangaroos pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Vindiola doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and Juarez doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Will Jordan pitched Weatherford Kangaroos to victory. The righthander surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out seven.

Jake Nava took the loss for Midland High Varsity. The lefthander lasted one and one-third innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out one.

Roy Moon started the game for Weatherford Kangaroos. The pitcher surrendered three runs on two hits over two innings, striking out five and walking one

Juarez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Weatherford Kangaroos in hits.






Game Two

Weatherford Kangaroos cruised to an easy victory over Midland High Varsity 7-1 on Friday

Weatherford Kangaroos opened up scoring in the first inning, when Weatherford Kangaroos scored one run on a stolen base.

In the bottom of the third inning, Midland High Varsity tied things up at one. An error scored one run for Midland High Varsity.

Weatherford Kangaroos pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Joel Gonzales singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Weatherford Kangaroos put up three runs in the fifth inning. Weatherford Kangaroos batters contributing to the big inning included Gonzales, Trent Rogers, and Carter Norris, who all drove in runs.

Kannon Kemp led things off on the pitcher's mound for Weatherford Kangaroos. The righthander allowed two hits and one run over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Jacoby Dutchover led things off on the mound for Midland High Varsity. The southpaw went five innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out two. Dax Patton and Tag Galindo entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Weatherford Kangaroos saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Wyatt Perdue, JT Cienega, Kemp, and Gonzales each managed multiple hits for Weatherford Kangaroos. Perdue led Weatherford Kangaroos with three hits in three at bats.
