The Kangaroos won a tough fought game Friday night over the LD Bell Blue Raiders. The Roos led for all of the first half and most of the third quarter before going down to Bell 21-14. Weatherford came storming back behind two touchdown passes from CJ Thornton to Colton McClure. The first one was with 11:55 left in the game and came from 17 yards out. After a couple of big defensive stops and a great punt by CJ Thornton, the Roos got the ball back with 5:23 left in the game. On the first play of the series Thornton found McClure over the middle and McClure took it 76 yards for the deciding score. Only up five, the defense held tight and didn't allow another first down. The offense melted the clock to finish off the game.

The Roos improved to 4-2 and 2-1 in district. Next game is next Friday night at North Crowley.
